Born and raised in the small town of Ficksburg in the Orange Free State, South Africa, Anneke immigrated to Canada at the age of 14. With an unstoppable energy, love for people, and dedication to her community, Anneke opened Bokkie’s Biltong on October 8th, 2011. Her passion drives Bokkie’s to deliver next-level customer service and top-quality care every single day.
Meet Dirk Breed, our Quality Assurance Controller – but to us, he’s simply Oupa Bok. More than just a title, he’s Anneke’s father, teacher, mentor, and the silent strength behind the brand. His lifelong knowledge and wisdom guide every step we take.
