My name is Ken, and I own Maritime Sharpening. My background in sharpening began when I was very young. Over the years, I honed my skills, experimenting with different techniques and various types of stones, always freehand sharpening. I would sharpen knives for anyone who wanted their knives sharpened, work colleagues, friends and family. I know use a variety of waterstones, belt sanders and slow speed wet grinders, matching the process to a specific knife or tool.
At Maritime Sharpening your knives and tools will be treated with great care and respect, regardless of the age or what they cost.
I also stock a selection of locally made Grohman knives, Idahone ceramic honing rods and other knife accessories.
