Rossella’s Pawesome Care is led by Rossella, a South African-born, Surrey-based animal advocate who is passionate about offering compassionate, fear-free care for pets—especially those with anxiety, trauma, or reactivity. While Rossella immigrated to Canada as a child, her family instilled in her a strong work ethic and compassion for others, which has shaped her approach to both animals and people.

After graduating with a degree in psychology at the start of the pandemic, Rossella found it difficult to find work that accommodated her needs. This led her to pursue a career in dog walking, where she discovered her deep connection to animals. Combining her love for animals with her background in psychology, she realized she could create a career that not only supported her needs but also helped others, leading to the creation of Rossella’s Pawesome Care.

What began as a solo venture has grown into a small, inclusive team that shares Rossella’s values. Together, they offer services like enrichment walks, drop-ins, in-home support, and overnight care—all tailored to the unique needs of pets, especially those dealing with anxiety and reactivity.

Rossella dreams of providing specialized training to help dogs assist their owners with their own needs, and if she had unlimited resources, she would run a rescue that supports a variety of animals beyond just dogs and cats.
